Every once in awhile I run through my bookmarks and realize that I have a huge amount of shit in my bookmarks and decide I need to clean it out. And everytime I run into a couple of gems that I think my loser listeners would like, so here we go.

It is a Logitech MX700. This was their first model with a charging base station, and it was still the top of their line until about 6-9 months ago (don't remember when the MX1000 came out). Now it is kinda hard to find. I have had it for quite awhile now, it was a gift from a friend, and I have used the hell out of it. I have been noticing little things for awhile, all seemingly coincidental, that should have told me what was going on.

Sometimes, not very often mind you, but sometimes, my faith in humanity is restored a little.

I knew it was coming, and I had even played with the beta a little, but it was released today...or yesterday, as it is tettering around midnight here. Anyways, I grabbed the browser about 12 hours ago, and broke the fuck out of it about 10 hours ago. And while a good 9 hours of that was spent doing other things, I just fixed it about 20 minutes ago. And it was my own fault, not Opera's.

If you have been keeping up with the sites you know we recently purchased new computers. And you probably also know that we have been having a world of issues with them, so much in fact that I just stopped posting about them. Dave was over the other day, and he mentioned that it sounded like a proc issue and that some companies were taking advantage of how easy it is to overclock processors and relableing lower clockspeed procs to make them look like they had higher clockspeeds. Sure enough, my 3200 is really a 2500. Sadly, I have no idea with the wife's because I can't get it to stay on long enough to run the program.

The wife and I recently built us some new machines... Ok, technically not completely new, we used some of our older parts like the harddrives and her floppy...I am still using my old RAM...which means I have to lower my bus speed to compensate...which means my proc is running just a little better than my old one... Anyways, I guess the point is, old stuff dies. And well, it should, it is old. We did not however, anticipate that her harddrive would die within two weeks of replacing every thing. One night I was shutting everything down on my system, and what did I hear but a click click click coming from hers. Lucky I was awake to shut it down as that could have been really annoying to have to lost everything. As it turns out, it had plenty of life in for me to back up the files on another machine so we saved everything. After every thing was backed up I tossed in some old floppys I have with HD utils...nothing. The drive just locks up now. Oh well, at least I got to use a floppy, it has been ages since I had done that.

Ok, so all in all, I orderd a case, processor, motherboard, RAM, and 2 OEM copies of Windows XP Home. I had received my case, motherboard, and processor last week. I went about setting it up so that when I got my RAM I could just toss it in and go. Oh yeah, hey, the RAM I got in my current computer will work according to the manual... let switch without thinking! So, I powerdown and switch out everything. Immediatly after putting everything in the new case I realize that I probably just screwed myself.

I have a problem with money: When I have it, I like to spend it. So today, I made sure all of our monthly bills were taken care of, I tossed $600 at Discover, paid on my student loans, and ordered me some happy computer stuff. Me and the wife will have the mobo, proc, and ram (ECS AF1, Athlon XP 3200, 1.5gb PC3200). I did, however, get a different case, slick but a little tamer than hers.

I have been intending to wipe my system for awhile now. I hve been prepping for the last week, and have been ready for the last several days...but did not want to miss out on quality EQ time. Well, today Sony decided that I needed to get to it...they have been down all day.
