xkcd

I have been archiving xkcd, a webcomic, the last few days. I don't know why I never bothered before. I keep finding comics that I relate to on a personal level, like this one. I rarely ever, if ever, buy games when they come out, playing them much later and saving lots of money in the process.

Cake?

The cake is a lie? Who knew? What cake? (This from a person who doesn't play the games no matter how old)

It comes from the game Portal...which I have yet to play. A company developed a sadistic computer that ended up killing everyone who worked there and you are sent in (I think) to shut it down. Along the way, it makes all kinds of promises about there being cake in the next room or something. Of course, the cake is just play motivation to keep you going.

The end credits for the game became an internet sensation for awhile. It is sung by the computer that eggs you on.

So true.

This comic is so funny because I just came out of my office raving to Sarah about how cheap the PS3 games from 2007 were.
