Ok, so most of the time anymore I just have to be ready to sleep, otherwise I just lay there and get annoyed. Tonight, instead of getting annoyed, I came back down and started writing code again. I am getting all into combining scripts and stuff. When it is all said and done, I only want two scripts, one for the author and one for the viewer, instead of the 10 and 2 like it is now. Well, like it was, there is now, as of about 20 minutes ago, only 1 for the viewer. I basically took the "add post" script trimmed it down and integrated it into the main script. The cool thing about doing this, is there is not longer that really dumb looking page you have to deal with when you post (btw, that really dumb looking page is what the entire backend looks like. Now you see why I want to change it, right?). Since it is part of the same script, I can easily use the theme code for the users page. Sadly, it also means that I had to add about 90 lines of code to the main script, and I had been so happy I had trimmed it down to. Oh well, I was gonna have to add some more eventually...I realized that I left a gapping hole for annoyance in the comment area. Not that anyone but me and the wife could take advantage of it right now, but once I toss out some documentation it should be obvious. Well, I think I am gonna go try the sleep thing again.
