I deactivated my facebook account yesterday after about five months. I know, I know. You didn't know I had one. I was pretty much embarrassed to tell anyone. I never sought anyone out, but a few people found me. I wanted to get a feel for the page before really mentioning it and embracing it. It didn't take me long to get a feel for it...or at least a feeling about it. Not a good one either.
Facebook reminded me of reading your email the first month your friend has the internet. Your inbox is filled with hundreds of random quiz results, polls, invites, games, spam, glurg, and one email you care about. You can't ignore or filter the crap from what you care about because you know they will ask about it. "Hey, did you see that quiz? It totally said I was Optimus Prime. Who were you?" And you are stuck, but you know it will fade because eventually he will lose interest in them. Only in Facebook, NO ONE EVER GETS TIRED OF IT...EVER...EVER...EVER.
Hello Facebook, 1999 called and wants its spam back.
