It has been a while since I've ranted. Since then I've managed to go insane and return to normal. I had somewhere else I was going with that... but I got sidetracked by an anime I've been watching. More on that another time.
So what have I been up to since returning home? Mostly hacking trees apart. As you very well know, the crab apple tree collapsed, the tulip poplar was uprooted, and the maple tree is now half as tall as it once was. The crab apple tree was taken care of before April (I think it was before then) and during that month I was would piratically work on the other two trees. Not much could be done with the tulip poplar (or at least this is what I thought) until power lines could be messed with. As for the maple... it was going alright until a week's worth of storms prevented me from doing much with it. I don't think being in a tree while a thunderstorm is the greatest of ideas. Add to that metal objects and I'm just begging to be struck by lightning. So I opted out and waited until the weather decided to behave a little bit better. The main problem with the maple tree was that I had to climb it, position myself in a way to be able to cut it, and then hope I didn't lose my balance before I lost my sanity and/or strength. Not only that but a god damn robin decided to make a nest on the branch under it. Don't get me wrong. It was a great place to have eggs and keep them out of the rain, for the most part. But god fucking damn it it was hard enough trying to cut the branch as it was, now you have to make me worry about some unborn chickens? I mean robins? Today Dad and I managed to get the damn branch out of the tree. Though I did screw up and kill one of those unborn robins... Or did I? You know what... I'm not going to dwell on this. The next thing you're going to ask me is how I stand on abortions... no comment... Putting aside my horrible id, I have come to learn how to use a mulcher! Scary I know, but it wasn't really that hard to learn. Who knows what else I'll learn to use? Chainsaw? Crane? Um... Something else that seems dangerous for me to use.
I was going to put up some pictures of what happened to my arm today... but I was too tired to take pictures and don't care that much anymore. It looks pretty damn interesting though, and for a while it felt like a sunburn. I'm still trying to decide if this is better than having a metal spike fall about thirteen feet onto my arm or not. Though this happened after the spike fell on my arm, so the pain of the spike went away and was replaced with the new pain of tree bark scrapping across my arm... which some how feels like a sunburn... I have a fucked up mind.
Well that is the most recent activity in my life... which actually covers a month or two... I hope to finish up Bakemonogatari so I can ramble about that as well. I'll probably end up rambling about two other anime that I have recently watched. So bleh!
