I am a person again. - DADC

The begining of last weeks rotation, basically my first day with my actual shift, my badge let me clock in but not out. I found my supervisor, who said he would clock me out on the computer and get with HR about it. Next day, same thing. He said he had talked to them and that they said they would look into it but to keep doing the manual thing for the time being. Day four, last day of rotation, I tell my supervisor that I am going to have to come back during the day on this past Friday, should I just go to HR then, and of course, he says no. He wanted to give them the four days off rotation to work on it. I was annoyed, but since he is going to be my supervisor the rest of my time there, I figured I would play along. Last night I go in, guess what, it did not work. I meet up with him, tell him it still does not work, and he asks me why I did not go last week. At this point I just kinda set into my mind that like everywhere, supervisors don't always know what they are talking about and should occasionally be bypassed. So, I stayed up a couple extra hours today so I could run in to HR, five minutes (and some minor confusion) later I had a new working badge and was on my way home. Now tonight I just have to make sure he get me in and out for yesterday, and I don't have to mess with him for a while.

The Perfect System

It's the perfect system— let your workers come in, but not leave. And then when they protest... manufacture them into Soylent Green to feed the rest of the employees.

Thankfully, my union protects me from being eaten by my coworkers. It's in the contract.
