Here is a quick redesign of the page. I really got tired of the ugly orange that I had put up here. I will go to greater lengths to make a better design later, but I just feel like doing other things right now. I also did a quick edit to rantfest to remove the "Add Comment" link from under the posts. Now it says "More" if there is more to read, and if not, nothing. I also did a little work on the user creation script. It does everything right. Now, I just need to play with look and feel to make it more inline with the rest of the backend...which means I might overhaul the look and feel of the entire backend (it needs it). Then there are a few relatively minor tweaks to the main page script and I can start adding in all the happy user stuff. I doubt it will be ready before classes begin, but there is always a slim chance.
We picked up the books for my classes yesterday (as well as two others that were labeled incorrectly which we took back today). I am already about halfway through one of them. It is a book on Typography, cool stuff, and it is something that I will probably get a lot of use out of it both inside and outside of class. I hope the class is as interesting as the book. Especially since it is my 8am class on Monday...I am going to need all the motivation I can get.
