Ok, I've been rather up-nerved lately... Mostly because I had been ignoring a bastard for a week, got chewed out by someone on AA, and just am an idiot. That last one goes without saying really...
I'm not going to bother to explain the first two (at least in great detail)... and now that I think about it, nor will I really explain the last one... Because that would take way too damn long.
I have a big mouth... all of my family does. We say shit without thought, intention, and concern. It leads us to a shit load of trouble sometimes... On AA, I decided to look at someone's account. This person is picked on by a lot of people, mostly the sub-admins, and thus is kind of bitter. I noticed that she had put something like "...studies... and nipongo." For those of you that don't know, I study "Nihongo" which translates into "Japanese language." This is literal translation, just thought I might as well use it. Anyways, I jokingly said, "'nipongo' I've never heard of that language." She, being the smart person I knew she was, replied back with a true response and it wasn't rude as far as I could tell. And I fucked it up somehow... needless to say she scared me. I don't know why I should be freaked out about this... but I am... I have yet to talk to her since. Side note: technically we were both wrong and right. Her explanation that the words were interchangeable was right, but it turns out only to an extent. I talked to my AI about it and he more or less said that. I didn't give him all the details to it. Just that I saw on the internet that someone tried to use "nipongo" for "Nihongo." I don't know what brought me to "type" such a thing... I just kind of did. Much like how I say some really stupid shit sometimes.
Fun side note: my psychology class is talking about stuff like this. About how people do stupid things and then try to make things better afterwords. "It's like he is poking me with a stick..."
I've been playing a bit too much of "Shivers" lately. Ok, it was only three games completely through and that was it. While I admit that it still isn't a challenging game... I still fucking love it. I still needed help with the pinball machine and the Chinese puzzle box. Those, however, are fucking easy since I could just go online to find the solution. There was one that always got to me though. The "third" to last puzzle: Master Match! Ok, that isn't the real name of it but it follows the exact same rules. The game generates a random pattern of little pictures and you are left to guess which one goes in the right place. You are given points depending on whether or not you put one of the pictures in the right place or even have the right pictures to begin with. Ten points for the right place and right picture, only one point for even having it on the board. The goal of the game is to get fifty points, though I tend to strive to get fourteen, twenty-three, or thirty-two, before I get fifty. Sometimes zero is good, too. Only when I need to eliminate a picture. I did say I played the game through three times. Each one I actually improved on (showing insight, as Thorndike would observe.) Until this happened:
Now you may be thinking, "Shit, he really got good at it." And you would be wrong. If you look at the picture close enough... ok, you can't really tell what those numbers are, but since you can look at the pictures, you can also tell which ones are right. You will notice that on my first guess (and it was a guess) that all but three of them are not a part of the solution. I then went and did an "elimination row" (where I just make all the picture the same to see if that picture is even a part of the solution) and found out that none of those were a part of the solution, a.k.a. zero points were given. "Alright, I'm going to be here for a while." So I started to click at random and then switched one and three (going down) to what they were on the first one. And I could have shit a brick... I had somehow managed to solve a puzzle, that takes at least five tries to get anywhere near to a thirty-two, in three tries. So, I decided to take a picture of it and ramble on about it here, which I am done with rambling about. Though I could ramble on about the rest of the game! Like how I have manag- *temporarily out of service. please be patient* and that's why I love the game Shivers!
A less fun note... Murphy's video card is breaking on me. I had a slight (and I mean a very slight) fear that this could happen to me as it did with Talam's video card. Reasons: they are the exact same damn model of video card! Ok, that was only one reason, but a damn strong one non the less. This just goes to remind me of all the damn things that have gone wrong with this machine. Bowing motherboard, insufficient ram, fried power source, hard drive crashing, cooling issues, case becoming electrically charged, a video card stopped working in it (don't remember the details, just that it got screwed up), and about three fried modems. Yeah, there has been a lot done to this damn thing and I still have this feeling that I'm missing something. Technically it can't even be considered the same machine with all the things that have been replaced. It's easier to list the things that haven't been replaced: sound card, one of the hard drives, maybe two of the fans (the blue ones), and both of the CD rom drives. The burnable drive is a bitch but it has been the only thing to work the longest... or maybe that is the master hard drive... Either way, this machine has lived up to its name of Murphy.
You can't really tell with this damn picture (actually looked better on my phone), but the catheter (is that right word for it?) is starting to fall off. Or at least it looks that way. It probably won't be long before it ends up spitting acid at me like it did to Talam. In fact why don't I just link to the page of his that has it? Talam's page. He has a better picture of what it should look like as well. Mine wasn't as bad but it undoubtedly will end up like that. This is started to get to me, so I'll leave it at this.
