O MY FUC- Oooooo... fire.... [Anime ] [Random Stuff ]

I don't know if this was a fire drill or not but we had a fire alarm go off in Briscoe. We sat around like morons for a while before we decided to actually go to the outside world where it was safe. And by that we jumped out the windows, because the stairs were on fire! Ok, they weren't but I felt like adding something illogical to it... like I wouldn't have done that sooner or later. As we sat around wondering what the fuck was going on I texted Montgomery, "It would appear as though my dorm is on fire..." At the end of it I had added some confused looking face (of maybe it was wondering?) He later called, and texted, just to see that it was real. By that time I was already in my room, so I could give him a diffident "yes, it was a joke." Actually while we were standing around waiting to go back inside someone made a comment about some guy going through all the dorms and taking stuff while people weren't in there. I had locked my door, which I'm sure I'm not supposed to do, so it didn't matter. Ha ha! Take that!

Ok, that was annoying but I have something that is kind of fun... at least I liked it...

"Plot Summary: An art student named Jin Mikuriya carves a statue from the wood of the Kannagi tree only to have the statue come to life in the form of a goddess, who has now taken over the statue. He and "Nagi" work together to destroy the impurities that are gathering in the town."

"Genres: comedy, drama, magic, romance."

Now you may be wondering, "What the fuck! he typically goes on and on about the anime/game/manga to the point that I just stop reading (or don't.)" Well I can't really say much about what it is because I don't really know how to say it well... But that isn't going to change anything now is it?

The anime is titled "Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens." I love that title. Actually a fitting title since the main heroine is pretty damn crazy. The craziness rivals Erando. The plot that I copied from animenewsnetwork.com last for about two episodes. It is a comedy as a whole, but for those two episodes there is a means to some of the insanity. Actually it isn't really clear as to when that plot stops... maybe around episode four or five... But since it is only thirteen episodes to begin with, it lasts kind of long. From then on it is about the random fucked up love... let's see it started as a triangle... then a square... then for no reason a pentagon... then for a brief time a hexagon, and then a line... (if you're wondering why I bothered with the triangle-square-pentagon-hexagon-line joke, it's because they made a joke similar to it) Ok, so it isn't a love triangle drama per say... but it still has that feel to it every once in a while. As to the rest of it, a lot of things that I like... with a few that Erando will like. Dorky otaku jokes, some art jokes (very few really but enough that I think it is worth mentioning), some Sony advertising (I saw a relative of Darkman on there!), and then there is the characters, of whom fall into a yuri and (yes...) yaoi joke at some point in time. Hence the brief, and not so real, love hexagon. As for the characters: "Too Pure Pure Boy," "Too Shy Shy Girl," (and I didn't make those up, they called them that at least once in the anime. The rest I will) "The Misunderstood Big Guy," "The Quiet Otaku," "Squinty Eyes," "The Perverted Otaku," (at least that was my impression of her... reminds me of Erando a lot, actually) "The Manipulative One," and "The Insanely Carefree One." I think that their names sum them up pretty well... kind of... So you may be asking, "WHY THE FUCK WOULD I WANT TO WATCH THIS!?" I don't know... it's funny... I think Erando might like it. I know she would love the yaoi... Damn yaoi fetish... As for any other reasons... they did bring up an interesting psychological disorder, but of course that is just in there for a minor internal/external conflict and not so much as the main plot (like Higurashi!) Though I can see it being arguable. I'm sure if you really wanted to watch it you could still go to animenewsnetwork.com, do a search on it, and still be able to watch it for free... as for whether or not you can watch it full screen... that's another problem. Plus side it that they should all be translated (I only watched most of one) so you can enjoy them. That would be kind of assholic for me to send you there and it wouldn't be... of course then I wouldn't have wanted to watch them anyways if I had no clue as to what even a little bit of it was about. So all I've done is prove that that is where I became interested in it... yay?
